  • Attendance & Logs: Accurately record student attendance, mileage, and any incidents or delay reports.
  • Child Safety Checks: Inspect the entire vehicle after every single route to ensure no child or personal belongings are left behind.
  • Communication: Promptly report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, route hazards, or student behavioral concerns to supervisor and administration.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Required
  • License & History: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of licensed driving experience (experience operating larger vehicles or transporting passenger groups is a plus).
  • Background Check: Must pass comprehensive criminal background checks.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, perform basic vehicle inspections, and assist students in getting in/out of the vehicle or securing seatbelts if needed.
  • Skills: Excellent punctuality, strong communication skills, and a patient, gentle demeanor when working with children.
  • A strong commitment to driving diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging within our school community.

Highly Preferred

  • Familiarity with the North Minneapolis community.
